Maruti Wagon R 7-seater MPV will be available with two engines – 1,197cc, K-Series petrol and a 1,248cc, DDiS diesel – and two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
Based on the Wagon R hatchback, this MPV will be positioned below the Ertiga and above the Eeco. Upon its launch in the country, Maruti’s new MPV model will face a tough competition from the Datsun Go+.
Price – With 7-seat configuration and efficient engine lineup, this utility vehicle is expected to be Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 90,000 pricier than the Wagon R hatchback. It might be offered within the price range of Rs. 4.5 lakh – Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom) that will also make it the most affordable seven-seater MPV in India.
